Downgrading Grid Infrastructure from 12.1.0.2 to 11.2.0.2 or later releases

The purpose of this document is to demonstrate how to downgrade Grid Infrastructure from 12.1.0.2 to 11.2.0.2 or later releases

1.   On all remote nodes, use the command syntax Grid_home/crs/install/rootcrs.sh -downgrade [-force] to stop the 12cRelease 1 (12.1) resources, and shut down the Oracle Grid Infrastructure 12c Release 1 (12.1) stack.

[oracle@cer-lx-clfsu01b ~]$  cd /u01/app/12.1.0/grid/crs/install/

[oracle@cer-lx-clfsu01b install]$ sudo ./rootcrs.sh -downgrade -force

This script downgrades the OCR. If you want to stop a partial or failed Oracle Grid Infrastructure 12c Release 1 (12.1) installation and restore the previous release Oracle Clusterware, then use the -force flag with this command. Run this command from a directory that has write permissions for the Oracle Grid Infrastructure installation user.
